Teza 80 series are made of thermal break aluminum. Additionally, the frames bottom track from outside is 1-3/4″ height and from inside is 2″ height. Most importantly, this feature helps prevent the entrance of water. All frames have powder coating paint. This makes it scratch and chip resistant. Tempering puts the outer surfaces into compression and the inner surfaces into tension. Such stresses cause the glass, when broken, to crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards as plate glass (aka: annealed glass) creates. The granular chunks are less likely to cause injury.
